Too bad we’re incompetent in every way.

    But we still don’t care.
  • You wore us down
But we still won’t give you a proper browser.
  • What did you say?
    You’re wrong, CSS-support sucks.
  • Could you speak up?
We’re deaf and can’t make the right decisions on our own.
  • We heard you
    But IE7 still sucks!

Microsoft: If you do have hearing, you should have fixed Internet Explorer many years ago. And when you finally decide to do so, how about doing it properly? Seems like IE7 will continue IE6’s legacy like a charm.

What a shame.

  1. I was just happy to see IE7 didn’t render my site like complete garbage, as I had originally predicted. Other than tabbed browsing and some other features we all saw in Firefox years ago, what does IE7 really bring to the table?

From what I’ve seen, not too damn much.

  2. IE7 handles RSS feeds a lot better than firefox, but it’s not enough to make me to the switch

  3. Hillarious, Olav, but very true. For the Norwegian speaking, I wrote a post wondering how long we will have to struggle with IE6.

  4. my job could be easier! hear me rant

    We heard you
but an IE7 skin for firefox is really “pushing it”

    We heard you
it was so long ago, we just couldn’t remember what you said…so we had to improvise

    We heard you
and then we heard Bill, and Palmer…. and you know happened

    We heard you
BUT, can you prove it ?? ha ha

    We heard you
now will you take IE7 task force off our backs ?

    We heard you
you wanted “pay per skin” , right ?

    We heard you
but it was so……. difficult to do !! can you live with another defected browser for a few years ?

    We heard you
but why bother, google will release “gBrowser” later this month.
an ajax browser that loads straight from c:\windows\system32

    We heard you,
but we’re too busy filtering hate comments from IEblog .

    we heard you,
    but we’re still debugging

    we heard you
and the final “patched” version we’ll be released with vista at 2084, if everything goes according to plan

    we heard you,
but TABS ?!?! you crazy people

    we heard you
but we still forgot to put a decent download manager. our bad :)

  6. Hehe, IE 7 SUCKS, anyway, it’s a microsoft product, so it is automatically put in the bin for me :P

  7. Oh no, so IE7 is still sucking?! Not surprising, but what a bummer.

Reading a recent article, IE7 HAD to be less than optimal for the very bread & butter of IE’s customer base relies on the hax & workarounds introduced for IE6, so if IE7 ‘fixed’ all these workarounds, then the coporate IE6 based website would most likely have to be completley rebuilt. So they did exactly what the are doing for Vista and that is producing a sub-par product BUT with backwards compatability… W00t
